Personalized English Education

with Care for Each Student

At Roots, we offer engaging and effective lessons taught by vibrant native instructors, all while maintaining the same free and accommodating educational atmosphere found in local schools.

Our classes are primarily small-sized, allowing us to carefully observe each student’s individuality and place them in classes that match their English proficiency level.

Outdoor Experiences and Workshops to Nurture Sensitivity

In our outdoor programs, students leave the classroom and spend time together with instructors and peers on day trips, overnight stays, or even three-day / two-night  adventures.

Through a variety of field experiences conducted in English, students are stimulated and inspired, developing a sense of camaraderie and compassion through collaborative activities with their peers. These experiences offer unique opportunities for learning and personal growth from a different perspective than the usual classroom setting.

Our workshops, including Science Experiments and Drama Workshops, are especially popular.

English Education Aimed at Developing Logical and Critical Thinking skills

At Roots, we aim to develop not only English language skills but also problem-solving abilities and cognitive skills. To achieve this, we have implemented a curriculum that combines higher-levels of thinking, such as Logical Thinking and Critical Thinking.

In addition, we place a strong emphasis on Content-Based Instruction (CBI), where students learn various subjects in English. Many of our students have shared that this approach has been beneficial, not only for English but also for other subjects during their middle and high school entrance exams.

All Instructors are Experienced

Native Speakers.

English is used as a global common language and it can be said that the culture of each country is reflected in it. However, it is also true that many people express a desire to learn from native speakers, especially during the sensitive formative years of childhood. Our instructors are native speakers who specialize in English education.

Classes are Small in Size, with Both In-person and Online Options Available.

At Roots, we have traditionally offered in-person classes, but as part of our measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have also started offering online classes via Zoom (currently about one-third of classes are online). You can choose either option depending on your individual preference. It is also possible to combine the two, for example, having the first class in person (average of 4 students per class) and the second class online (average of 3 students per class).

We Want You to Learn as Much as Possible at an Affordable Price.

At Roots, we have adopted an affordable pricing structure because we believe that the total amount of exposure to English is crucial for maintaining and developing English skills. We hope that you can take multiple sessions in our small-sized regular classes, participate in workshops and outdoor activities, and make the most of every opportunity to immerse yourself in English.
